How we view the future and the environment
Green factories
We have always prioritized ensuring that our products are manufactured in factories with good working conditions and that not only comply with, but often exceed, statutory environmental requirements. According to our Code of Conduct, proof of this must be available upon request.
We set high standards for ourselves and our external manufacturers, and we continuously strive to improve working conditions and reduce environmental impact. This reflects our commitment to responsible manufacturing and sustainability principles throughout our supply chain.
NFG’s EPD work
At Nordic Fastening Group, we continuously work on developing new EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations) for our various product groups, as well as customer-specific EPDs when required.
Our factory in Poland has developed four EPDs covering all our carbon steel products, with or without surface treatment.
We use ONE CLICK LCA’s software when producing EPDs, and through EPD Hub they are third-party verified and published in their registry.
Solar energy and energy-efficient heating
As early as 2016, in connection with a 2,500 square meter expansion of our warehouse, we took a step to reduce our climate footprint by investing in our own energy production.
We installed 100 solar hybrid panels, 31 solar panels, and 12 geothermal boreholes, which together form an integrated solar hybrid system.
The system not only generates electricity, it also recharges the geothermal boreholes, making heating more energy-efficient over time.
By 2026, the facility has produced more than 260 MWh of electricity.

Bicycles & electric vehicles
We continuously strive to make a positive difference where we can, and one of our initiatives is that our entire sales force has transitioned to fully electric vehicles. This decision not only benefits the environment but also demonstrates our commitment to sustainability and reduced emissions.
To support the use of electric vehicles, we have installed charging stations in our parking area, powered by solar panels and therefore using renewable energy to charge the vehicles.
We have also noticed that many of our employees live close to our headquarters, making it convenient for them to cycle to work. We view this trend positively and actively encourage our employees to choose cycling as a sustainable and healthy alternative to commuting by car.
A greener future
We are proud to be part of major projects that strive for a greener future. By supplying large quantities of foundation bolts to various wind power projects and critical fasteners to the factories of the future, we actively contribute to the development of sustainable energy solutions.
In addition, we are involved in several infrastructure projects aimed at facilitating Sweden’s transition to a greener future. Through our participation in these projects, we contribute to creating a more sustainable and efficient infrastructure.
